My friend has bad luck. Can anyone help me out.?

My friend has a little bit of bad luck. First, he was 14 and was driving around with friends and he was going a little too fast and ended up skidding and wrecking into a tree. A girl in the car got hospitalized for a month. Now everything is going bad for him. His dog died not to long ago and he thinks that it is his fault. He is a really good friend and I don't know what to do to help him out. If anyone out there has any good advice can you help me out. Please and thank you!
