To Creationists and ID folks, why do you think your god created viruses?

Viruses have killed billions of people, why would a god create them? They are simply innate strands of RNA, whose code makes them duplicate when infecting another organism. They are not part of the food chain. Or are they part of the 'micro-evolution'? Did moses fit two of everyone of them on his boat?
