Why don't courts use lie detection with women who claims they were d?

Specific-issue polygraph (lie detector) testing is 90 to 95 percent accurate. However, polygraph testing is usually reserved for persons accused of crimes and offenses. Many states do not permit polygraph testing of ual ault victims, which is one reason they are not used extensively in this arena. Unfortunately, testing of victims will not produce results as accurate as when testing an accused person. The ideal situation would be if they could conduct "paired testing" where both the accuser and accused take a polygraph, and if the results agree with one another the results will be better than 99% reliable. - Michael Martin (President, Global Polygraph Network)
