How can the political crisis in Thailand be resolved?

The military is the trump card here. It's leaders have no backbone and refuse to support the government. The leaders of the military are afraid if they act for one side over the other they will lose face. They kept on saying they are to defend to Crown, Buddhism, and the Thai people. But what about the constitution?
